My adult life has been a painful struggle with chronic and severe lower back pain. I have narrowly escaped surgery on more than one occasion to remedy this condition. Approaching age 70, I have largely relied on pain medications, keeping active, and taking over-the-counter topical relief products. Past damage to my four lower discs and affected nerves results in pain and numbness in my right leg. Perhaps the worse is the subsequent arthritis that typically follows injuries to the skeletal structure. Science today evidences that chronic pain in itself can be a deadly adversary.
That’s when, by accident, I happened upon Florida’s Best APR. Here’s the story. I’m a life-long woodworker and with this passion I yearly attend Woodworking Shows. This show was in Sacramento, I was busily viewing the latest tools and machines when I heard a woman’s voice call to me as I rounded her display. “You Look like you’re in pain.” I quickly glanced at her booth and did not see saw blades, routers, or chisels. I saw small boxes of products with a sign that read “Relief from Pain.” Living to this senior age comes with the mental and physical agility of “Knowing when to fold them” – in other words, when to run. This was not a woodworker! I began to scamper for cover, but was convinced to try a free back rub right there in sight of the saw dust and wood chips.
Today I am deeply grateful to this lady who calmed me into my first encounter with APR. I complied simply because it was the most expedient way to be far away and back to the real sawdust of life. She applied this cram to my back and I largely put the matter behind me. My wife picked me up after the show and as I stepped into the car, she said, “What is that nice smell?” Guys, wives know how to make us feel guilty, it’s generically part of their DNA. I told her about the lady at the booth as we drove home. That evening when my back usually begins to explode right at a specific time, I told my wife, “Something’s wrong with my back.” “What now?” “My back isn’t hurting!” Ok, our wives get used to their husband’s quirks as time passes. Maybe I had just breathed in too much saw dust over the years.
Now, with years of MRI evidence of disc deterioration, narrowing of the nerve channels, and increasing arthritis, I knew that my back wasn’t healed. But what a relief from pain that did not come at the expense of the harmful side effects of pain medications. The final chapter to our story is that my wife has become a believer along with me. She nightly uses APR to miraculously stop snoring and besides, “I LOVE the smell!”
My usual sleep pattern is to awaken every hour of the night with pain. That first night, I slept only awakening once and returned to sleep until 6:45 A.M. My wife, who always rubs my back, noted, “Ted, the swelling, knots, and inflammation are way down!” in days that followed, my wife said, “For the first time, you’re walking straight!” So, we have both used APR since. Approximately four years ago, I came down with a bad case of the shingles. The pain was called postherpetic neuralgia . Nothing took the pain away. My niece went to the LA County fair in Pomona California. She got some samples of APR and gave one to me. I tried it and it has been the only thing that helps. At first it stung a little, but in minutes the pain was gone! Our neighbor had pain in her legs that it helped too.

Thanksgiving, 2020, my sister-in-law gave me a small sample of 6-year-old APR. She knew my husband had multiple pain issues with a partially torn rotator cuff, chronic lower back pain, and chronic sinus pain and pressure. My husband is pessimistic about all-natural products and never thinks anything works for him. We do back-breaking work on and around our property, especially in the wintertime.
